To the Medical Products Administrations of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps; the NIFDC; and the Information Center of the NMPA: To further optimize the management of labels for cosmetics (including toothpaste, the same applies hereafter), satisfy consumers’ right to know and the needs of an aging population, facilitate business operations, and support the high-quality development of the cosmetic industry, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has decided to launch a pilot program for cosmetic electronic labeling. This decision is made in accordance with the Cosmetic Supervision and Administration Regulation (hereinafter referred to as “the Regulation”) and other relevant provisions.
